Ranken’s Electrical Automation Technology program produces skilled electricians.
Through lecture and shop/lab activities, you’ll spend your first year receiving instruction and training in electrical theory, solid-state electronics and logic control, installing electrical systems, power distribution and the National Electric Code (NEC).
In your second year, you’ll get hands-on experience with single- and three-phase motors, variable frequency motor drives, motion control, ladder diagrams, advanced control logic and industrial control networking.
You’ll also get state-of-the-art PLC training courses. In addition, you’ll be trained in the layout, installation and blueprint reading of commercial and industrial wiring in new construction projects.
