Further your education at Ranken Technical College – one of Missouri’s A+ program colleges!

Students looking for Missouri A+ program colleges can now choose Ranken to further their education. A+ program students can receive financial assistance while attending Ranken.

The Missouri A+ program provides scholarship funds to eligible graduates of A+ designated high schools who attend a participating community college or vocational/technical school.

Ranken’s participation in the A+ program opens opportunities for high school graduates all over the state, providing additional financial assistance to A+ students who otherwise might not have been able to attend Ranken.

  • How to Apply

If you were part of the A+ program throughout high school, the application process at Ranken is simple:

    • Submit all of your Ranken application materials and application fee.
    • Complete your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You can complete your FAFSA online, or visit the Financial Aid Office at Ranken for assistance.
    • Send in your high school transcript incorporating the A+ stamp.
    • Bring in your original birth certificate and driver’s license or photo ID.

When these steps are completed, your paperwork will be finalized and you will be accepted into the Ranken A+ program. Ranken is proud to be designated an A+ program college and now you can make the most of this opportunity!

Please note: Scholarships are dependent on the student’s financial status, and any other financial assistance that the student may receive. Rates also depend on the student’s district.

  • A+ Scholarship Renewal

You may renew your award annually until your eligibility expires. To renew you must complete the FAFSA, maintain a 2.5 GPA and maintain satisfactory academic progress at Ranken.

Your eligibility expires when the earliest of the following occurs:

    • 48 months after the graduation date documented on your high school transcript.
      • Students providing service to any branch of the U.S. armed forces can defer their eligibility (see “Can the scholarship be deferred?” below).
      • Students graduating from high school in mid-year may be eligible for a spring award if their high school transcripts indicate the mid-year graduation date.
    • Receipt of an associate’s degree
    • Completion of 105 percent of the hours required for the program in which you are currently enrolled
  • Transferring to Ranken from Other A+ Program Colleges

If you are an A+ program student who wants to transfer to Ranken from another participating college, you must contact the Missouri Department of Higher Education (MDHE). Just call 1-800-473-6757 and select option 4. Failure to notify the MDHE of the transfer may reduce the total amount you receive under the scholarship, so don’t forget to make the call!
