Ranken Technical College welcomed 215 total attendees to it’s 2015 MFG Day Celebration. During the event, Edward L. Monser, who has served as president of Emerson since 2010 and is also the Chairman of Ranken’s Board of Trustees, addressed a roomful of high school students in Staley Auditorium. The audience included groups from the following area high schools, who then toured the Manufacturing Division’s programs: Beaumont, Clyde C. Miller, Hazelwood East, North Technical, Pattonville, Roosevelt and South Tech.
In his speech, Mr. Monser described the current state of the manufacturing industry and discussed the importance of a skilled manufacturing workforce. “If you invest in yourself and get a skill, there are good jobs, and you will have one,” he told students.
