Ranken and Wrenching for the Future Partner to Offer High School Seniors an Exclusive Experience

Ranken Technical College is inviting St. Louis area high school juniors and seniors to be part of a rat rod building team where they can gain hands-on auto tech experience while having fun and earning tech education scholarships.

Ranken was chosen by Wrenching for the Future to host this week long build-off that will take place February 20th – 24th.  As part of Rat Rod’s “Wrenching for the Future” program, a group of high school students will build a rat rod using parts from vintage vehicles.

On Friday, February 24th, 2023, the team members, Ranken instructors, families, friends and Rat Rod representatives will gather for the “Big Reveal.” The “new” running, driving, safe vehicle will then be auctioned off and its proceeds will go to a fund that will provide scholarships for the team members.

In addition earning scholarships, team members will have an opportunity to socialize with other students, and learn fabrication, engine mechanics, design, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills under the direction of experienced instructors.

The deadline to apply is February 15, 2023!
