Figuring out how to transfer to another college can seem like a difficult process. We’re here to help make it easy for you to get credit for your eligible college classes.
How to Transfer to Ranken
You might be able to use your previous college classes for credit if you are transferring from community college, another technical school, or from four-year public and private universities and colleges.
The most important thing you should remember about how to transfer to another college is this: it can take time to get the transcripts you need from your previous school, so don’t procrastinate!
Follow these steps:
Get started at least one month before final registration for your first semester at Ranken. To do that, you’ll need to contact any previous schools that you’ve attended, and have them send your official transcript to our admissions office.
After we get your transcripts and application, the Registrar’s office at Ranken will evaluate your credits. Because every transfer student is different, they make the decisions about whether your credits will transfer to Ranken on a case-by-case basis.
If you have taken technical courses at a college or organization that doesn’t have regional accreditation, you might still be able to get credit. Our process is designed to help you get credit for your real-world experience and training.
