This week, Ranken was excited to welcome a group of 20 teachers for EV3 Robotics Training. The two-day workshop was part of St. Louis University High School’s Clavius Project. This project focuses on underserved communities, mentoring and inspiring urban middle school students in STEM-related areas (science, technology, engineering and mathematics).
By educating the educators, programs like EV3 Robotics meet a critical need. In order to best help their students, teachers have to be ready to teach these key subjects .
In today’s program at Ranken, new and returning robotics coaches learned how to program robots. Then they held a competition to see which robots could complete the most missions. Because of their experiences at this week’s EV3 Robotics training, they will be more prepared to get their students ready for the FIRST LEGO League qualifiers in November.
