SUMMARY:MFG Day at Ranken Central MO
DESCRIPTION:A National Manufacturing Day Event \nManufacturing\nDay\nHundreds of students. Five Missouri locations. One day to find out what a career in the skilled trades actually feels like — hands on tools\, not stuck in a seat. \nREGISTER YOUR SCHOOL \n\n\nThe National Vision \nA Movement\, Not Just a Field Trip\n\n\nManufacturing Day is a national initiative held every fall to introduce students\, educators\, and communities to modern manufacturing careers. \nAcross the country\, manufacturers\, technical colleges\, and workforce organizations open their doors to show off today’s advanced manufacturing environment\, challenge outdated ideas about the industry\, and inspire the next generation of skilled professionals. \n\n\nWhat It Means At Ranken \nOur Biggest Day To Open the Doors\n\n\nAt Ranken\, Manufacturing Day is one of our signature outreach events. Hundreds of high school students visit our facilities for an immersive\, hands-on experience — the kind that simply can’t be replicated in a classroom or a slide deck. \nThis year marks an exciting milestone: Manufacturing Day comes to our Wentzville location for the first time\, bringing the experience to even more students across the region. \n\nWhy Every Program Participates \nManufacturing Is an Ecosystem\nIt relies on an entire network of skilled professionals working together to design\, build\, maintain\, power\, transport\, and support the products we use every day. Every technical program has a place in that ecosystem. \n\nHands-On Learning Comes First \nThis Is Not a Tour\nStudents rotate through each participating program\, where faculty lead activities that let them experience the work firsthand. The goal isn’t to show students what we do — it’s to let them do it themselves. \n\n\nIndustry Partners \nBuilt Alongside Employers\n\n\nOne of the things that makes Ranken’s Manufacturing Day unique is the involvement of our employer partners. Rather than staffing an information table\, partners help design and facilitate the hands-on activity itself. \nWhen employers actively participate\, students see exactly how classroom skills translate into rewarding careers — and get to talk with professionals who do the work every day. \n\n\nLed By People Who Do The Work \nFaculty Make the Difference\n\n\nEvery activity is designed and led by Ranken faculty who bring real industry experience into every station. Their enthusiasm and expertise are what turn a campus visit into an experience students remember — the connections made and stories shared shape how students see technical education and the careers it leads to. \n\nOur Goal: Bring Them Back \nManufacturing Day Is Just the Beginning\nOur Open House events take place the following week. The goal is simple — students leave excited enough to ask their parents to come back and see it all again. \nREGISTER YOUR SCHOOL \nPLAN YOUR OPEN HOUSE VISIT
