Whether it’s time, money, tools or materials, or a prize for an event, Ranken always appreciates your gift and puts it to good use. Ranken Technical College alumni have first-hand knowledge of the importance of a hands-on-education. They also know that the only technical education worth pursuing is one that utilizes up-to-date, state-of-the-art equipment.

Because students pay only 65% of the tuition, we rely on the generosity of the community – you – to help support Ranken with cash donations, tools, and equipment for departments, scholarships for students, or for general needs of the College for the remainder. We must continuously update equipment and educational tools to ensure that our students are fully prepared for the jobs that await them upon graduation. This preparedness cannot be done without the support and dedication of our generous donors. For this, we thank you!

Many alumni choose to give gifts of cash and materials to our programs. We appreciate any gift you may choose to give, whether it is a gift of cash, resources, volunteer time or assistance.

Our departments utilize state-of-the-art tools and equipment. You can check with us first before you discard any equipment or tools of any trade.

Do you have Ranken memorabilia from years past? We are cataloguing and building our Ranken museum for a campus display. Your donated items (tools, newsletters, pictures, textbooks) will be prominently displayed for as long as you will allow us to have them. We would be happy to talk to you further about the items you possess; please contact the director of Alumni Relations.

Looking for a way to memorialize someone who has been an inspiration? Create a scholarship in his or her name that will benefit students.

At Ranken, volunteers are important to us and make programming happen both on and off campus. We appreciate the time and talent of these individuals, who help guide the College in planning activities geared toward the many interests of the members of the Ranken Alumni Association.

As a Ranken graduate, you are eligible to volunteer for areas of need on campus including the Alumni Leadership Council. To find out more, contact the Alumni Relations Office by completing our online form, calling (314) 286-4895 or emailing [email protected].

Guide Curriculum

Many alumni serve on departmental advisory boards that provide advice and information to keep faculty up to date on recent trends in industry. These vital contributions ensure that Ranken’s curriculum stays on the leading edge of the industries we serve. Our educational programs include the latest technological developments and rely on input from our Advisory Boards. Positions are also available from time to time on the Alumni Leadership Council, which is the advisory board to the campus Alumni Relations office.

Refer a Student

Share your Ranken experience with a friend, relative, or neighbor, by sending their name to the Admissions Office. Any prospective student referred by an alumnus who enrolls will receive a $100 tuition credit and a waiver for the $25 application fee. Complete the student referral form to get started.

Be Visible

Not only will you benefit from networking opportunities and social activities on campus, your participation in alumni events in your community help all alumni and potential students learn about the campus, changes in the industry, job openings, career advancement and more. Come back to campus, experience the growth firsthand, continue your education, and share your stories with others. Come back and come often—Ranken is always changing!

Be a Mentor

Students at Ranken need help and guidance as they begin their education and training. You can support students in any department with advice and inspiration by phone, email, text or face to face if you have time. This program is geared toward putting your experience to work helping students with issues that cannot be addressed by a textbook. Or, you may help by serving as a tutor in the Student Success Center. One hour a week would make a tremendous difference to our students and their future.

Community Service

Each year Ranken alumni take part in community events in the metro St. Louis area to bring students, alumni and faculty, family and friends together surrounding a social cause. Events of the past include, walking in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and joining with Rebuilding Together in repairing houses for local residents. Each year a different activity is planned and we hope to continue to impact our community through these collective group efforts.
