Student Achievement Center
Ranken's Student Achievement Center offers a comprehensive tutoring program
for students who need assistance in math and other general education subjects.
Formats for these services include individual peer tutoring, study groups and
supplemental instruction classes.
Study skills seminars are conducted during orientation and throughout the academic
year to assist students in meeting the demands of studying and time management.
Print and video materials for reading, writing study skills and math review
are also available for students' use.
Students can make tutoring appointments at selected times during the school
day. Walk-in tutoring is available before and after school. Students with diagnosed
learning disabilities may submit recent documentation and apply for special
accommodations in their academic and technical courses.

The Counseling Center provides an environment where a student can talk with
a counseling professional to identify ways to deal with difficult life situations,
stresses, personal issues and other concerns. If additional help is needed,
the counselor will provide referrals so that issues may be dealt with in an appropriate
manner.
Students may also schedule individual appointments at the Counseling Center
to receive in-depth career analyses and discuss what career options are best
suited for them.
