“Growing up I knew three things—I liked working with my hands, I
enjoyed a challenge and I was always pretty good at wiring things up around
the house—but I never realized I could turn that into a career. That is
until I found out about Ranken’s industrial electricity program.”

Ranken’s Electrical Automation Technology program
produces skilled electricians with extensive hands-on experience in the following
areas:
- Control logic electrical theory
- Electrical systems installation
- Electrical theory
- Ladder diagrams
- Motors
- Motor drives
- National Electric Code
- Power generation
- Programmable logic controllers
- Solid-state electronics
Graduates of this two-year associate’s degree program can enter the workforce
as commercial electricians, electrical sales representatives and maintenance/service
